Khalid Saleem
Khalid Saleem's journey spans 25 years across military service, education, and entrepreneurship. Born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, he began his career in the U.S. Army before transitioning to teaching roles in various countries, including the U.S., Nigeria, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, and back to St. Croix. Khalid believes in the transformative power of service and education to uplift communities. Embracing new adventures, he sees himself as a lifelong learner enriched by diverse experiences abroad. With a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Recreation Management from Temple University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Full Sail University, Khalid's academic journey reflects his commitment to personal and professional growth. When he is not exploring the world, Khalid indulges in his passion for writing, cinema, and imaginative pursuits. Fulfilling his biggest dream, he returns to St. Croix as a local business owner, eager to give back to the community that shaped his values and identity.
Zayd Saleem
At the heart of St. Croix's vibrant Moko Jumbie tradition stands Zayd Saleem, a 33-year-old visionary whose life embodies cultural preservation, military discipline, and entrepreneurial innovation. Raised on the picturesque landscapes of the island, Zayd's journey reflects his deep love for community and cultural heritage. Zayd's tenure in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Histopathology Laboratory honed his skills in leadership, discipline, empathy, and followership. Leading a department servicing 98,000 beneficiaries and managing a team of 11, he earned numerous accolades and the respect of superiors and peers. These experiences have profoundly shaped his teaching, mentoring, and community engagement approach. In entrepreneurship, Zayd has excelled. His venture with Dynamics Payments onboarded over 100 clients in three years, showcasing his business acumen. Co-founding Boomerang Eats LLC. Today, Zayd is a symbol of hope and cultural richness in St. Croix. His diverse career - from Moko Jumbie instructor to entrepreneur and U.S. Air Force veteran - reflects his commitment to tradition and innovation. His story inspires cultural pride and serves as a beacon of inspiration for St. Croix and beyond.

Amy is the Marketing Director at Boomerang Eats, with over 9 years of experience in marketing, brand management, and strategic communications, Amy has a proven track record of driving growth through innovative campaigns and data-driven strategies. Her leadership has helped companies increase market share and improve brand recognition in highly competitive markets.Prior to joining Boomerang Eats, Amy successfully increased the productivity of many local small business by implemented marketing strategies that resulted in a 25% or more increase in revenue year-over-year. Her expertise spans from digital transformation to public relations and customer engagement, making her a versatile leader.Amy is truly vested in the success of Boomerang Eats and aims to have the company exceed its milestones in becoming the #1 delivery company in the Virgin Islands.Outside of work, Amy enjoys traveling, going to the gym, and quality time with her family.
